August 5, 2019 to August 12, 2019

The wind forecast was fairly stable, so we were able to leave Milford Haven and thus Wales on August 3rd. The first day of the trip was somewhat uncomfortable. We were always facing the wind on the Bristol Channel. This resulted in a very uncomfortable wave. It was hard work until we reached Lands End. We were rewarded with a perfect half wind and were able to enter the Victoria Marina in St. Peter Port on August 5th. Just two hours later, three customs officers stood in front of our boat, asked intensively about our trip and also wanted to see the track on the chart plotter as evidence. They also leafed through the logbook. The usual questions about weapons, drugs and alcohol came up. In addition, they have asked very often about porn, porn is apparently particularly prohibited on Guernsey. Since we didn't have any weapons, drugs or porn with us and drink the alcohol ourselves, we were able to get Sissi through without any problems. Welcome to Guernsey.
